Any of you guys use these?
Do you like the double catch hooks made for them or do you use another set up?
I have been using them with a 5/0 EWG worm hook

5/0 or 6/0 hook works better for me with the ribbits/horny toads/rage frogs

The double hook works better on the floating frogs/toads

I only throw the Bull Ribbit in this type bait; so I use the 8.0 with 1/4 oz belly weighted hook. I let it sink into the pockets a lot. There have been days especially when cloudy and windy that they want it just under the surface along the edge of the grass line. I have no trouble keeping it on top of the slop if that is what they want. I just try to be versatile with it so I can fish it different ways if needed.

I have thrown the double hooks a few times, haven't noticed any better hook up rate but I have noticed that they hang up on everything. You bring in a lot more Lilly pads, grass, etc using the double hooks.

Like said double hooks catch more grass and pads than fish. Weighted hook with bait keeper work best for me.

Take a razor blade slice it down the middle and fish it like a swim bait. Thank me later

I throw them on the weighted frog hooks. I think they came from Stanley, but could be wrong on that. Had them so long that I do not remember. A small 1/16 or 1/8 oz weight on the hooks. I have some with a 1/4 oz. weight, but never fish them too much. Thanks for the tip Donald. Hope this helps. OH, they are 5/0 hooks, too. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

In a neighbors lake (30 acres) or tank the 4 and 5 lbers are eating them alive right now. YEE HAW! Good neighbors in teh ranching industry with good fish taste in building such a lake.

Double hooks only. They are just a hair pickier to get hooked in the bait right but I don't have problems with getting hung in stuff and the double hook keeps the bait upright better for me

My hook up rate went up to almost 100% when I switched to the double hooks.
I will never use a single hook again.

I caught my PB (10 lbs, 1 oz) on the surface by paralleling a weedline with a Ribbit using a weighted double hook. Guessing a 1/8 oz weight on a 4/0 or 5/0 hook....can't remember exactly. "Hard-hooked" her through bone at top of her mouth. Gotta love those double hooks!

Same here. Forgot to mention that earlier. That was why I switched to begin with

I like the double hook, can be skin hooked into the frog if your having issues with the hook catching on grass.

A little trick a guy showed me a few years ago is to put a medium sized glass bead on the line before you tie the hook on. It really helps it go through grass without hanging up and I think the fish target the red bead making for better hookups.
