Wanted to get a truck, but got a car instead. Has anyone put a roof rack on their vehicle? How did it go? Cost? Want to get back into fishing and get a kayak, but I have no way to transport it. Unless I get some kind of roof rack. I've been looking a little bit and just the rack can be as much as the kayaks I'm looking at... Then I might need a special kayak mount that mounts to the roof rack. Then maybe even straps that tie the kayak to the rear and front bumpers of the car. (they seem a bit excessive to me)

Can someone help me out? What can I be looking at for cost? What will I need?

I have been looking also....seems pricey but may just be the cost of playing...putting on a 13 Accord

I've found out there is only a place under the middle of the rear bumper for those straps. Nothing but plastic in the front, even under the bumper, its just plastic pretty much. They would rub the paint too...

A good rack will cost a lot but worth it to protect your investment, you, and others.
