Haven't been on here in a while. I've been fishing LL 2-3 times a week for the past couple of weeks and haven't caught my many. The most I've caught in one trip the past week was 10 hybrid all under 23 inches. they just aren't seeming to be biting. I've tried live bait, slabs, swim baits, flukes and nothing seems to work. Anyone having any better luck?

Keep moving around. Cover a lot of water and when the fish that you find move, you need to move around again too. Live bait has still been good for me. Any and all structures are open game. Points, humps, ledges. It sounds like you're doing some good things. 10 hybrids is not a bad day at all. Good luck!

Fishing has been very difficult lately. I fish Fort Phantom. The windy direction changes and cool fronts have me clueless. Bait fish are scattered. I drove 20 miles one day looking at every hump, ledge, and points and found nothing impressive. The trip before all the weather changes I caught 66 white bass by myself in under three hours. What do y'all do to stay with the fish?

I first began my search where I tend to catch them and recently found them for several weeks. I looked at every close by transition contour line with no luck. I then switch over to looking along the bank where the new wind direction is blowing. I basically start in basic area then transition areas and then where then other side of lake. Anybody have any better ideas or approaches to locating whites/hybrids/catfish?

Thanks

Clay

I'm not a sandbass fisherman but I do fish under them every week for Bluecats.. The sandies, hybrids, and cats have been as thick as I have ever seen on LV in 20 yrs. They were on a 35 ft flat out in the middle of the main lake for the last 6 weeks. I'm talking 10 acres of fish! Monday they moved and were gone. I scanned every hump and point in the main lake for 3 hrs and nada. Bait was everywhere but the schooling fish were gone. I finally found a good group in the old lake on an 18 ft flat next to 26ft ledge just north of the toll bridge. This time of year the water cools and mixes and the fish move a ton and can be very difficult to locate.
