8-10# test braid/ 6# test fluorocarbon leader (1.5') light action rod
Great for long distance casts of even a 1/32 oz jighead and soft plastic lure.

Those are some fancy setups for sunfish!
I'm just now upgrading to Trilene XL.
Not trying to put anyone down, but these fish are so easy to catch, I can't see the benefit of all the fancy setups.
I think I need to go fishing with you guys to see what I'm missing out on.
Stick around if you want to learn more about Sunfish, we know what we are doing.

Just curious to know what line weight most of us are using. My boys and i use 2 lb and 4 lb test line. We love ultra and micro light fishing for sunnies. We fish lures 95% of time. I been using the 3 lb and 6 lb Sufix NanoBraid it cast great, and its strong.
