I'll be down there Friday evening, after work. Hopefully I don't need to use my new jacket. I have to go down and check on our beach house. My neighbors said it is fine, but I think I need to see it for myself.

Everything I've seen Galveston is in good shape had a lot of rain but not strong winds. Be safe on the way down. I'm gonna go ahead and say you won't need a rain jacket Friday grin
Galveston is getting hammered with rain tonight.

I spent the money on a Simms suit. It's been great. Not very thick so I layer up under it. It does a great job keeping the wind off.

Galveston flooded ? Wow. It has to slow down. I heard this afternoon some levees had given way on the brazos or somewhere, and some extreme flooding is happening where the rain actually was directly responsible.

Unless the gulf rises about 18-20ft, I think my actual house will be ok. Rain run off on the island my house is located on is incredible. Streets puddle in a deluge. That's about it. A storm surge is bad news, as is high winds, for my house. My golf cart is on a two foot rise inside my underhouse "room".

Eat. Sleep. Fish.
