Managed a nice stringer of eaters while camping at Ray Bob this past weekend. Main lake was rough with the northeast winds coming from Harvey, but calmer water between fishing pier and party cove let me stay and fish the area long enough to produce. Found a carp the day before that looked like it had taken a hit from a boat prop. Cut it up and drifted chunks about a foot or so off the bottom.

I paid my dues to the fishing gods when I was trying to get the big one on the stringer and got finned by one of the smaller ones pretty deep between thumb and index finger. I treated it on the spot and by next day, all the soreness was gone.

Thoughts and prayers to any of you fellow Texans down in the path of Harvey.

Thank you, Jacky. Hope to fish with you again in the future. If you have a last minute seat to fill, give me a shout.

Nice eaters and nice job on the safety flag on your kayak, ive seen too many boats flying by kayakers on the lake this summer because they couldn't see them until they got close.

And if the flag doesn't get their attention, my portable air horn is loud as sh!t. Thanks for the kind words.
