Guys here are saying the people they know that were headed there got turned around when they got close. I don't have first hand knowledge of that but at a certain point it creates more danger when you get to many boat out.

Like I said yesterday.....I'm also in the middle of it and can't get anywhere I could be of use, except in my own neighborhood....still high and dry.....but on an island. All reports and TXdot website show you just can't get in or out of Houston on most major freeways/roads. I'm on the northwest side Cypress area and know for sure both 290 and I10 are impassible......

Yep, yesterday morning, I was planning to go down and I called a friend who is a Houston firefighter to see if I could stay at his place. He told me he wouldn't come due to the amount of volunteers that had been robbed and shot at, funny the mainstream media isn't covering that.

Looks like each boat really needs 3 people as well. One up in front and one to watch the truck and trailer. Definitely not a one person deal. Not a solo deal as well. I rather join in with someone up here in dallas then go to San Antone. Willing to head out Thursday. If I can get someone to let me join in I can start organizing a care package with my company.

He came home early after deciding it wasn't worth getting killed at

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
Of course it isn't safe, but that doesn't mean we can sit here and do nothing. I'm heading to San Antonio Thursday with a group if anybody wants to go together pm me. We're going to assets with the evacuees in the shelters and with transferring supplies. Boats are needed but if you don't have one or you don't feel safe rescuing, there's loads of other help needed.
