Well....after fishing from Saturday morning till 8 tonight, I'm soaked. I have the BPS 100MPH bibs, and they're great. My froggtogg jacket, on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired.
What are you folks using in the $200-$250 range for jackets? What are your favorites?

I have the full BPS 100 MPh suit and love it. Buy their waterproof spray and treat it after every wash or every few outings. I have used it in some torrential down pours and remained dry as a bone

I fish year round, any weather. Edit....I'm not a tight wad., just looking for a good deal is it's out there. I DONT want to spend over $350 for the jacket.

I have a Gill as well as the BPS. Both are great. The Gill Skeeter Team jacket is in my list too, but it's $337 and don't want another jacket that's not gonna last a year. How is the Gill stuff holding up for you?

I guess I am old fashioned. I go to Walls Factory Outlet stores and buy from them. Unlined jackets are like $100-$135. BUT, you have to FIND one of their open stores. I have had mine for 16 years and all 3 sets are going strong. Bought 3 sets when I was guiding and back then they costs $ $45 to $60 each, I am just guessing on the current costs of the jackets. NOT high dollar, but worth investigating, anyway. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck. GOOD LUCK on your beach house, 2.

How is the Gill stuff holding up for you? I wear the GILL kb1 race jacket. I absolutely love all gill products that I have tested.

about 12 years ago, West Marine had myself and my partner promoting them for some product reimbursement. One such item was the FOUL WEATHER GEAR. I have used it ever since, and never been wet under the gear. I have been very pleased, and would not hesitate to buy new rain gear from them to this day at full price. It has been one of the best items I have owned in regards to functionality and durability!

Against my better judgement, I'm gonna go to BPS and look at the BPS100 jacket....and maybe pickup a Lowrance adapter for my US2. The better judgement is those two things. Guess I'll see if I can come out the door with only two things.
Doubt it.
Thanks for the input guys. I still might go for the Gill jacket because it has the pressure relief hood that lets you wear it while going 60+ across the lake. Does BPS sell anything other than their own brands of rain gear?

Frogg Togg. LOL! I can't remember if I have seen any others at their store. I know the had 2 different styles of the BPS brand. One was a lower price than the 100MPH gear. Think it was called Pro Qualifier.

100mph jacket is the best you can buy for keeping you dry. Only problem is they get too hot to wear most of the time unless it's winter.

It's hard to beat Simms gear. I have put that jacket through a lot of nasty weather and it still sheds water great.
