I'm about to get into glide baits but don't want to jump straight into getting a roman made so was hoping someone has experience with this bait that can give me your thoughts if it's good or if there is something better in that price range.

I own a Deps 175 in the keta bass color. However, it's the floating model, as the slow sink is hard to come by. Honestly, compared to the 250, the 175 doesn't have that magical swimming action. I've since modified my 175 by filling the holes meant for the weights with suspendstrips and it glides a little better. Maybe if you pick up a slow sinking one, it'll have that desired glide. Other alternatives that I have been using more have been the S-Waver (20 for the 168, and 45ish for the 200) and the Savage Gear (25ish for the 7") glidebait. I've been eyeing the Gancraft or a Megabass although I think the Gancraft is a bit more tried and true.

Check out swimbait underground. They have a ton of good info over there. Beware, it will get expensive

175 is a good bait. I would check into the s waiver 200 though as ur first hard bait. I've owned 175s and 250s now. Currently in recovery after popping a nerve in my elbow throwing a 250 on too light of a rod. Make sure u have the equipment to handle what u buy. Also swimbait badlands on Facebook is awesome for research
