How bout that Okie Jason Christie and 88 pounds of smallies to win the final Elite Series Tourney of the year at Lake St. Clair, Mi.
Hey, that's a 4-1/2 pound average for 4 days of angling. Using a 3/4 oz tube in 19-22 feet of water. St. Clair is another lake that has shown a dramatic improvement in the size of the bass population because of the new 3 inch goby forage.
Said he caught large numbers of drum too and when he hooked a drum he could see fish following it up on his Garmin panoptics and they would always be smallies. Would then drop a bait vertically and hook-up immediately....Congrats to a great young angler and hopefully a successful bid for AOY title.
