Hey guys, I am looking for advice on where to target between Matagorda and the Corpus Cristi so that I can use my Red Drum tag before I renew my fishing license. I don't have a boat nor the cash for a charter so looking for a spot I can fish from shore. I don't get to the coast more than once every couple of years and don't have much knowledge of where to go. Any advice on where I might have the most luck is appreciated. You can send me a PM if you are concerned that posting ina public forum will cause the spot to become overrun.
Thanks

Sorry but it will be a mess down there with Harvey blowing in. IMO the surf is best with fresh cut skipjack or mullet being the best bait.
