My brother and I fished at his favorite lake. It was Flag Lake, located on Barksdale Air Force Base. There was not a breeze the entire time we were there. (See lake picture) The lake was about 3 feet low. It was very hot all day. We fished for both bass and crappie. Usually, we'll catch a half dozen or so black crappie, but we only got one. Some of the toughest fishing I've ever had.

I'm guessing the poached bass was the first on the stringer? As in poached like an egg, not "poaching".

yep, I'm definitely not eating that one below the crappie. Poached = NASTY. The rest will eat just fine.

either that's a lunker crappie or those last coupla bass are tiny!
