Looking for some advice on how to use my one Red Drum tag before renewing my fishing license. I can get to the coast for some shore fishing but don't know where to go to increase my odds of using the tag. Advice appreciated.

Thanks

So what part of the 750 mile Coastline are you planning to go to?
If Galveston, try a pier or the rock groins that extend out from the beach.

you might consider posting in Open Saltwater forum, it gets a lot more traffic than the offshore forum.

Thanks for the advice Ted. I am open to anywhere from Matagorda to the Corpus Cristi area. I won't have a boat so would need something accessible from land. I am betting that the Tropical storm turns further East, or dissipates, and leaves most of the Texas coast without much rain. I am not sure where the "Open Saltwater" section is. All I see are section for Inshore, offshore and Reports, since this isn't a report I figured offshore was the right place. I will post the same query in inshore though since I am land based in my search.
