Weather forecast is saying a tropical depression will make it's way back into the Gulf of Mexico and strength to a possible HURRICANE! Forecasters are saying that South and Central Texas could be looking at 12 plus inches of RAIN from Friday till Monday! You all pay attention to the weather for the next several days. Stay safe!

Last weather statement form the National Weather Service is saying that tropical storm Harvey will become stronger while in the Gulf of Mexico. Depending on where it makes land fall it could bring anywhere from 10 to 20 inches of rain beginning Friday through Monday to the San Antonio/South Central area! Chances of rain for the San Antonio,South Central area are 90 percent Friday,100 Percent Saturday,70 percent Sunday, and 30 percent for Monday! Thanks Curtis for the heads up. thumb

Its been awhile, alot don't remember, some never seen it. Last "real" storm in the Corpus area would probably Celia in 70. Supposed to average one every 10 years. It's been almost 40. We have had some other rain events that have cause major problems, fishing kids out of trees, Guadalupe flooding and so on, people better realize that could be another real possibility.

When the weather man is saying rain measurements will be by feet and not inches you know that there is going to be some "MAJOR PROBLEMS" a head if that storm strengthens in the Gulf and becomes a hurricane and hits in the Corpus Christi area ! taz

Side Note: If it hits any area there is going to be problems. nuts

The forecast around Athens is 30%-80% chance of rain and thundershowers between Weds and Sun. I'm hoping for a few hrs of dry so I can take the float tube out. Being caught in a deluge in a float tube isn't a whole lot of fun. coolio

Forecasters still tracking Harvey. National Weather Service is saying possible landfall might be just east of Corpus Christi Friday evening. The storm will move slowly in a Northwest direction and then turn east where it will possibly stall. NWS is saying rainfall totals could be between 12" to 30" depending on the area! Need to be watching this one! eeks

Might put a damper on my fishing plans for Friday afternoon. Might have to hit a pond instead of the river or lakes. Depending on how fast this thing moves thru, might not be able to get on the rivers again for a couple weeks.

Just looked at the National Weather Service tracking of Harvey. It's putting land fall just east of Corpus Christi. Harvey will then move Northwest and stall around Atascosa,Karns,Wilson, and Live Oak counties before heading east. Rainfall predictions in our area are between 12 to 24 inches with some areas getting 28 plus. Stay safe out there.

According to the NWS Harvey will be a Cat #3 when it make land fall in the Corpus Christi area. 50 MPH winds will be felt in San Antonio. Also 12 to 24" of rain predicted in the San Antonio area. taz

Saw one forecast this morning saying 5" to 8". Then saw another one saying 8" to 12"! Saw a third one saying 15"plus. Which one to believe! Guess it does not matter. One thing for certain is it is going to rain and no one has control on how much except God above.

Side Note: You all stay safe out there !
