The river ramp was closed this morning for approximately the next five months for construction of a new ramp, restrooms and other improvements.

Thanks. Not sure you can get into the river off the main lake. Looks all silted in as are so many upper ends of lakes where you enter the river.

My wife and I went Monday with our kayaks and the lady at park headquarters told us the the launch ramp and the area around it would be closing in a few days for several months. When we got to the launch area a construction crew had the road blocked and said it would be closed for the next 5 months. We stopped on the way out to let her know so she could let other people who wanted to use that ramp that it was closed. A park ranger overheard us and said to give him about 10 minutes that the foreman for the construction company had just been in his office and told him it would probably be Wednesday before they needed to close it. I don't know what their conservation was like but when he came back he said we could use the ramp (yesterday). We were able to launch our kayaks but I understand that we were the last people until the project is completed. I don't know if the river is silted up where it enters the lake or not we could probably get into the river with kayaks but We really don't want to paddle across the lake from the other ramp so we will have to find somewhere else until they finish.
