I just started fishing it recently, fun little lake with some HEALTHY fish in it. Cant say that I've had a really good day, but a few decent ones in recent weeks. Nothing over 6 - 7 lbs and only about 10 fish a day. (fishing from daylight till 11am) Last trip out there 2 weeks ago was post front and awful, ended up putting it on the trailer at 0830 and heading to Worth to salvage the morning. You can tell the Florida genetics in Marine Creek are strong, those suckers get big time lock jaw when a front comes through.

Would like to go try this place out. Since it is a no wake lake, Is there a restriction on motor size? if not I assume I can just idle around and use the trolling motor. sorry if I am asking a question that the answer should be totally obvious, but would like to know before I go.

thanks

I fish MC from time to time. It may be a no wake lake but I can tell you that some people ignore it and run fast from spot to spot. I use the big motor but pretty much go slow or idle around. Lots of deep water if that's your thing. I think about 300 acres. I always do better at Worth or Eagle Mtn., so don't go very often.

Are they still having a lot of vandalism problems at the ramp?

No boating hazards, at idle speed anything you could possibly need to avoid will be very obvious. Not sure if the ramp requires a City of Ft Worth permit like Lake Worth or not, mabey someone else can get on here and answer that. There are always some questionable characters at the ramp, doesn't matter if its 5am or 5pm. I have not personally had any issues or seen any broken glass or anything like that in the parking lot, but I have had to dodge a couple of pit bulls and ask people multiple times to get their kids to move of the ramp so I could back my trailer in. I will never understand why folks swim and float literally on the boat ramp. I have also seen police there with binoculars writing down TX numbers of boats not obeying the no wake, don't know if they actually do anything about it or not, but something to keep in mind... just because you don't see them doesn't mean they aren't there. I always make sure I'm idling at 5 mph or less, still only takes 5 minutes to get from one end to the other. Its a fun little lake, everyone tells me it was much better before the 2 share lunkers were caught this year due to the amount of pressure the lake receives now. If you give it a try let us know how you do!

i live in the neighborhood that backs MC. It used to be fairly quiet until about a year ago. Lots of pressure no adays, but i still pull in good numbers.

Good to hear the GW likes to hang around

Weird that it's no wake--isn't it the main location for the DFW Ski Club?

I used to be part of the DFW ski club in 1977-78. Glad to hear it's still around.
