Have you considered going on a shared excursion? www.galvestonpartyboatsinc.com has deep sea trips every week. Their name is misleading, they have nothing to do with parting, its only fishing.

I do not have a boat. Really not too picky where we go and would rather go with a smaller group instead of a big charter.
