Hello guys,
Boat is ready. I am 20 minutes from Lake Grapevine but have never fished it. Westlake Park/Lewisville l have fished many times and actually caught cats but is an hour away. Can anyone give me any advice on Grapevine or should I just go to Westlake. Does Westlake still close in October?
Thanks,
Tim.

GV can be tough at times. Don't know about LV as I never fight the traffic to get there.:) Most reports have it as really good. Way mo better than GV.

Grapevine is an excellent blue cat lake. I caught my PB 45lber there and fish it more than any other lake. I have had some really incredie days there. One day we easily boated 400+ lbs of fish In 2 hours.

Gv is only difficult when the lake is really full. find shad, find shallow water and fish it. Try up north in the stumps too. If you dont get a bit in 30 min, move. You will find them.
