Went fishing with TFFers LenaHorse and ETU again today, and we had a great time catching a total of 156: 140 whites, 2 hybrids, 2 stripers, 10 short hybrids, a drum and a keeper yellow bass. We started at 6:30AM and found schooling fish by 6:45. We boated about 25 using slabs and #4 Mepps spinners before that top water action stopped. Next we went to Sun Point and Cloud Point but only caught 2 or 3. Went on up to the Greenville Pump Station and got into a bunch using #2 Mepps rig and some on small Little George-like baits. We next hit 2 spots on Anchor Point and caught them with #4 Mepps and slabs on one and with #2 Mepps on the other. We finished at Finger point where we caught them on #4 Mepps and slabs. We got tired and quit at 3PM. Sorry - we forgot to take fish pictures. (Ed and Larry, please add your comments and correct me if I mis-stated anything)

Nice report thumb what's the catch ratio, slab vs mepps technique? Might have to give this mepps technique a try

I caught all mine on Mepps. Larry and Ed are learning the Mepps technique and feel more comfortable now with slabs, tail-spinners or soft plastics.

I will venture to say the catch ratio when nothing else is working is 4 or 5 to 1 favoring the mepps I have seen this several times in the last 4-5 trips this week and prior.

Wow, way to go Larry. I need to get to Tawakoni. Let me know if you have an open spot. Thank you, John
