I finally made it back out to the grasslands, I started at Clearlake around 7:15am The primary gate was closed so I went to the backside of the lake and launched on the north side of the dam. I found lots of Hydrilla which was good for fishing but bad for paddling. Clear lake is getting over run with it. Only open water was the creek channel and water over 20'. The fish I caught all were healthy. The pier is damaged pretty severely. I headed over to Cottonwood Lake at noon and fish there till 5p caught a couple but nothing of size all dinks.

Wow, that's the lowest I've seen Clear Lake!

I am leaning towards tuesday morning, back to clear lake for a half day and hit another water body for the second half of the day. If you would like to join you are more than welcome.

During the great drought a few years back the water did not even reach any of that pier structure.

PS there is a ton of tree branches near the end of it... but yall knew that.
