What sucks is that 6 flags wasn't even flying the confederate battle flag that everyone is fighting. They flew the confederate states of America original flag that to my knoledge no one saw as a symbol of hate or racism. Many of the news articles are just saying they removed the confederate flag.

The whole point of the "six" flags were to refer to the countries that at one time had sovereignty over Texas. Could an argument be made that the Confederacy never had sovereignty over Texas? If the answer is yes, why was the flag ever there in the first place and why wasn't the original theme park called five flags over Texas?

Texas joined the confederate states of America in 1861 I think. So I think that is why the flag was part of the 6 flags.

Someone out on a FM road near me flies a Third National Flag prominently where everyone passing can easily see it. Always makes me wonder if they're sitting and watching out their window waiting for someone to try to steal it.
