I'm going to get some crushed concrete/road base to extend my new driveway/parking just a bit. It's currently grass. Is there any special prep I'll need to do? Do I just drop a bunch of rock, spread it flat and drive on it to compact it as best I can?
Also, if anyone has any good sources for crushed concrete road base near caddo mills/greenville, shoot me a PM please. thanks!

If you don't mind the grass growing through it, that's good. If you don't want grass, spray it and lay down 80% landscape fabric under the rock.

If you don't mind the grass growing through it, that's good. If you don't want grass, spray it and lay down 80% landscape fabric under the rock. This or get a soil neutralizer that will keep the grass/weeds/etc. from growing through the gravel.

Get crushed rock (not caliche) if possible, gravel will spread too easy and with caliche road base you will have the white fine stuff tracking everywhere.

I get crushed concrete.
After a couple of rains any fines are washed down into the cracks.
