Hi everyone. I just got a new to me boat, a 2008 tracker deep vee pro guide 17. I like the boat but I knew when I got it that the carpet was going to need replacing. Got a quote yesterday for $2700 to do the job, just can't put that into it. Anyone have any experience with doing carpet yourself or know someone who could do it for less? For now I am going to use it as it is.
Thanks

That quote is ridiculous! Do it yourself over the winter months, it may not be perfect the first time and it will take some time but you can do it for less than $300. I used contact cement on the hatches to grip instantly around the corners and outdoor carpet cement with a trowel for the big flat pieces. Check out other boats to see how the carpet is cut and folded around the corners.

Shouldn't be more than 800-900 to have it done and that is even with a padded deck. Do it yourself for around 300. Not difficult but time consuming. Watch some videos on it. I did my last boat myself and it was a pain but it came out good enough and the price was right

From what i understand, my boat has to be totally dis-assembled to re carpet it. I think I will just live with it for now, its only real bad on the decks, I may try to re do them myself this winter. Thanks

Thats ridiculous. Had my 20' Triton done with padded front deck total was $1000. Looks like a factory install.
