How is the bite? Never been but thinking of either going there or Monticello tomorrow. Don't need spots or anything. Just an idea of how it's been out there.

It hasn't been bad but hasn't been what I call great either. Schoolers are everywhere but they are tough to catch. Haven't been to Monticello in a while so not sure where you'd do better at.

Just returned from Athens. Fished 5a-noon. Boated 2 over 4lbs. Had multiple bites, but it's slow.

Fun if you find the schoolers but if not it's a grind for bites. At least for me it is

Get off the bank and target 12-25 fow. Use your lake map and electronics to find points, ridges, humps and grass lines

You were right, should have gone to Monti. Tough today. Fished deep, shallow, you name it, wind beat us off some spots. Did find a random school in an area I would never have thought, caught a couple of them but not much size. Oh well, it was my first time to fish it. Nice little lake.

Don't let today ruin it for you. Go back between March and June and it can be a blast

Other than schoolers, it was pretty tough yesterday.
