I'm looking to purchase a new trolling motor. What would y'all recommend for thrust for a tr19?

I have an 80 lb Fortrex on my RT188 that works great, but I'd love to swap it for an 80 lb Ultrex...

I have a 19-foot Ranger with an 80lb Ultrex. That trolling motor is a game changer.

Wow, no love for MotorGuides on here. Here's one vote for the Motorguide Xi5! It's the best investment BY FAR I have made for my boat! Heard lots of good things about the ultrex... if you're going to connect it to your electronics, then you're limited. And an 80lb Xi5 would be perfect on that boat!

Only had it for about 6 months now but its been great. Only gripe so far that I can think of is the foot control is a bit too sensitive. I mostly use the hand held remote and have the foot control at the bow as well because if you're up in the brush or close to the rocks when fighting a fish its kind of hard to use the remote at the same time.

The new Ultrex is very impressive and are a little easier to find in stock right now than the past few months, I absolutely loved mine on my 2017 boat and will have another on my boat that is on its way

I have the XI5 and am very happy with it! May not be as nice as the Ultrex, but for a thousand or so less, I can manage.

I just had David at Shut-up-and-fish put the Xi5 80lb on my boat Monday. Haven't had it in the water yet but this thing is dead quiet standing next to it out of water. Good guy to do bidness with.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

My MG Brute 556 is 20 years old this year and still running strong. Not the quietest unit ever, but I've caught lots of big fish out of my boat and I think noise is somewhat over-rated. That being said, I'd love to have a new Ultrex or Xi5 - I think they're both great units.
