It's a big lake and lots of room for everyone. There is some on the weekends right now but when school starts that will drop off considerably.

Wow! I just bought a Hook-n-Line fishing map for RC. This lake is supposed to be great for Hybrids. It doesn't list a single spot for hybrids in its fishing index. I guess I'll just go fish the places that the whites are supposed to be good between the 287 bridge and the dam.

Holidays and late summer July and August, we see a little more PWC and water ski action. Still there is plenty of space. Please keep in mind that some are not well versed in the operation of boats and they drag their kids through stump fields and create dangerous wake way too close to others.

Rayzor,
Just posted a recap of this weeks trips on RC in the Whites/Hybrid section. Based on the past couple of weeks, you'd be wasting your time on the Main Lake right now. It's awful tough and today was probably frustrating for most folks. I talked to several Guides and several more local fishermen that all had the same poor results. I'm finding a few Whites up the Creek Arms in 15' FOW on Points and Humps and catching them on small Slabs & Jigs. It's just a tough time of year to get a limit on RC unless you get lucky and get a breezy, cloudy or rainy day, and then it changes totally.
Oh yea...We lost most of our bigger Hybrids thru the Spillway the last couple of Spring monsoons. Still a lot of Unders but Keepers are hard to come by.
Good Luck!

Capt. Craig - I am pretty sure that was your boat white/blue Nautic Star beside us early this morning. My Wife caught a decent Hybrid on her 2nd cast and that was it for the Main Lake.
Royce - I heard you on Sports Radio 610 as we were leaving NW Houston. You were certainly right about the Main Lake being non-productive. We tried some creek channels but didn't do much better. We only caught 1 hybrid, 4 whites and 1 LMB in the shallower water.
The fish certainly weren't as "thick" for us today as they were for Barry Stokes. Classic case of " you should have been here yesterday."
Thanks for all of the posts!

It was a great hybrid lake... when that map was made, Royce is right but being a green fish guy I'm not complaining

Hey Rayzor. This time it wasn't me. I took a couple of clients up to Tawakoni on Thursday and Friday. They hooked on to some really nice stripers and hybrids there and then skipped out before the storms. But I do hope to see you out there! Congrats to your wife for hooking the hybrid! I love to hear the reel squeal! Capt. Craig - I am pretty sure that was your boat white/blue Nautic Star beside us early this morning. Hey Jerod - That's a good looking group of hybrids your clients have there! Awesome work on some hot water! Sometimes you just have to change up the techniques to get the big ones interested during the tough times of the year.

Like said above, hybrids have been tough on the main lake. Last few weeks anyway. We were killing them before that.

Tons less traffic than most lakes. If you fish Lewisville, Joe Pool or heck even Cedar Creek and Athens, you will LOVE the low traffic at Richland Chambers. Come on down and spend some time here.

The large mouth fishing in very good early before daylight up until 9 or 10 on Frogs near lily pads and near any grass you can locate. After then you have to go deep either with deep cranks or a c-rig off points and drop offs. The lake is full and in great shape. Come on down and get some fishing in for whatever swims. I have specials running for a half day trips, check out bassaspecialty.biz for prices or call me at 972-345-9370 for further reports. The crappie fishing has been good in deep water on minnows and crappie jigs down to 20 ft. Boating traffic is low due to the heat and kids going back to school, if you are not coming to RC you are missing some good fishing and fun.
