 On leave fishing trip??

My Army son has been stationed in South Korea for the last year and is now on leave for a couple of weeks and would like to go on a fishing trip next week. I have been traveling a lot lately and haven't been able to fish much lately so I'm not sure on where to go. Any ideas where we could catch some numbers with a good one every now and then that's within 4 hours of DFW would be greatly appreciated.

This time of year could be tough. I have only been managing a couple on Joe Pool as of late. If I were in your situation, I would go to Lake Athens on a week day--but that is no guarantee this time of year.
