I have two ducketts rods and i can't tell the difference casting wise between the micro eyes and the bigger eyes. Have them both on the same reels, line, lure, and settings. i don't understand why spend the extra $$ on a rod that cast just as far. Kinda a noob question but I wanted to see what you guys knew about this.

I have no clue if it is the micro guides or what, but my 2 duckett's are my 2 most sensitive rods I own. (I dont own very expensive rods).

I love fishi g light T-rigs and weightless sinkos and flukes with these rods and feel bites on slack li es, that I know Id miss with some of my other rods that I use for moving baits.

I don't notice a difference between them on my rods unless I'm using a leader then I have to be careful on the micros with the knot. I never really look for either, it's more of just what the rod has that I buy.

I agree, casting with the micro eyes there is little difference. It does seem to lighten up the rod. The manufacturer claims that having more eyes gives the line more contact with the rod blank helping you to feel the bite better.

I like both.

It also means that under a load the line touches more of the rod blank creating more friction. I haven't noticed any casting difference between the micros and standard guides. I like the flex of the Duckett rods, and have never had any problem out of them. I have two Duckett cranking rods and one worm rod.
I also like the balance of the rods.
