What size hook a you using on an 1/8 oz jig head? 4 or 2?

Whichever is on sale at the time. I don't think it makes much difference this time of year.

I use a #4 sickle on my 1/8th oz jigheads.

#2 is smallest I will use. Prefer 1/0

I use a #2 or #1 in 1/8 oz jigs. If your plastic body has any size, the amount of exposed hook needs to be significant so you don't have so many fish shaking loose. Not a fan of small hooks.

Good Point Ken. I have had to open the gap a bit using certain plastics, but I like the smaller hook for brush

Smaller hooks in brush and starting to like 1/0 on timber. i open the gap on the smaller hooks and net big fish. With the 1/4oz jigs and 1/0 hooks fhe net never gets used.
