Wheres the best place to stay for cheap at fayette? Also good places to eat. We will be on the water most of the day but will need a decent place to keep the boat. Thanks!

I live about two miles from the lake near Fayetteville. There are not any hotels close to the Lake I would recommend. The Bed & Breakfast places are not boat friendly in Fayetteville. La Grange in 15 miles away, but again the facilities for boats are horrible. The Best Western is good for the night, but being on the highway, it's a poor spot to park the boat. I can talk more if you want to PM me.

Get one of the small rooms at the lake.

The cabins at Oak Thicket are the best option:

We usually stay in La Grange at the Executive Inn. Not the fanciest place but they give us boaters a good rate and they let us park the boats under the front canopy. There are a few new restaurants in the area, but nothing exciting.

Orsak's is good for a burger. Joe's makes a good chicken fried steak. The best food is in Winchester at Murphy's, about 25 mins from the lake. Great steaks at a very fair price.

Forgot to mention Back Porch BBQ is really close and good food. They have a large parking lot so it was no issue with the boat, and the waitress was super friendly and kept bringing our dogs water bowl refills as we sat outside at their picnic tables eating dinner.
