What do you prefer! I'm currently using a Dobyn's 733 but it's a tad long for those close quarter dock assaults. Do you like a 7'? 6' 9"? 6' 6"?

I use a Dobyns 704 and haven't had any problems with it. It's got enough tip to really whip your bait under stuff while staying stout enough to horse fish out of cover.

I'm using a Kistler 6'9" MH with a split handle... I'm skipping jigs all over the place and love it.

6'8 or 6'9 is the way to go.

If you want to stay with Dobyns, take a look at their 683

Dobyn's is my perferred choice but I have other brands in the boat too. Just seems for the money it's hard to beat the Fury line and that's the price point I'm looking to stay at.

I've used the Fitzgerald Bryan Thrift series skipping rod for the past 6 months or so. It's 6'9" and works well for me.

I prefer a 6'9"-7'0". If I had to pick one it would be 7'0".

I have a MH Dobyns Savvy micro guide in 6'6" with a Daiwa Tatula SV TWS and really like it....I use it exclusively for this technique.

The added accuracy believed to be attributed to a micro guide and the near un-backlashable Daiwa reel make a great set up for me.

The Savvy line is near the price point of the Fury and is the only line to offer micro guides. JMO
