Decided to take the travel trailer down and do a little fishing. Im a bass fisherman and never touched the Texas salt water in my life. I have no idea what to do or where to go but I would like to bring some fresh fish back to the trailer. Thanks!

The thread under this one is what I did last weekend...get with Grinder55...and you will know what to do on your own after that.

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Thanks TroyKing, ..... sounds like James Weir would enjoy the benefits of being a Rockport Fishing Club member.

I'll send him a PM with the details.

yeah bert .. slowride used to stock the ROCKPORT RATTLER jigs I invented when I 1st put them on the market back in 2003.

Slowride has knowledge in his specific area where he fishes over in Aransas Pass and Redfish Bay area, ... and that's a good thing.

But slowride doesn't fish in the areas I wade fish, and any info he would get would be potlicked and not hold the value of what I hold as 1st hand knowledge.

Theres an old fart down there invented the Rockport Rattler who catches fish pretty much just about all the time. His alias is Grinder.

Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.

Teach a man to fish, he will sit in a boat all day and drink beer.

He ought to. He knows every reef and where to fish them, where the fish are and what they are hitting and when. grin
