I was just wondering if anyone fished Fork this past Friday and if so did you have any luck. I was there but it was hard to figure out. We only caught around 9 and mostly dinks.

Fished a few hours during heat of the day and struggled to get bit. My Dad caught our only fish but it was his biggest ever, around 8-9 lbs! Bit a 1oz jig on a main lake point around 25ft.

Do what he says....main lake points in 20-25 foot of water are holding some big fish right now. Use your electronics!

Why beat yourself up, go to Possum Kingdom. Hardly see any boats and the fish aren't under so much pressure. Great top water bite early with lots of schooler's and then fish the salt cedars with craw worms, flukes. Weekends are not good but any week day can be outstanding.

Quiet now. That is supposed to be a secret. I do agree with you however. Only going to get better if the algae stays away.

You mean the weren't under as much pressure. One post on the internet can change all that

Caught my first over on Friday. It was a good day, but was really slow until about 6pm.

if you're hunting a giant it sure is hard to beat the odds at ol fork though, but boy can it humble you at the same time.

That's about the time we left. I was just curious if it was us or just the bite in general. I'm still trying to figure that lake out and where to fish it.

Put in at 4 and fish til dark. Best bite is around 20 ft but I had 2 spots last week that were 12 ft put some good numbers and size in the boat. Fish the first 2 hours of dark as well if you can.
