I was wondering what I should go with. A 1/8 oz jig head or a 1/4 oz jig head. I will be fishing inshore mainly off the banks and water no deeper than 3 feet. Probably in the bay I'm going to buy both but which is better for Oso Bay...?

We only use 1/8 oz. We're fishing grass/potholes and shell reefs. Heavier just doesn't give the same action.

1/8 oz. jig is the most used ...

1/16 oz. jig over shallow grass beds is lethal - especially working grass lines ...

1/4 oz. jig on deep shell ...

That covers the gambit in the Rockport Bay system from shallow to deep.
