I just bought a 24 volt trolling motor and I'm needing some advice on a couple of things , first is if I have one deep cycle battery and one starting battery can I wire the 2 together or do I need 2 deep cycles and second is will my on board charger work with the 2 being wired together or do I need a certain type of charger?

You need two deep cycles wired in series for 24 to run the TM, separate from the engine starting battery. You can take 12V off of that bank. You'll need a three bank charger since you will essentially be charging three separate batteries.
