Well, the summer months are usually light on the fishing and heavy on the work. Haven't had much time to get out, fish, and enjoy the outdoors as much as I would like to, butI did manage to come home early one afternoon and walk out to the pond armed with my 5 wt. a few top water foam spiders and other fly's in search of small bream and bass. The evening was a little cooler than the last few evenings, and the wind had quieted down so a foam spider was, in my opinion, the best choice. I did manage to land several small bream who were hungry and a few small bass. My last fish of the day was a small 1 lb bass which ended up being the picture of the day. Looking forward to the fall and winter months. Sold my old Kayak and bought a pedal drive kayak for the fall fishing in the creeks. Also set up a 9wt rod and reel. Been considering saltwater fishing, but need to seriously educate myself on tactics, locations, and fish.

Nice. I skipped on the bay/marsh trip this morning with the radar not looking all that great. Tossed a bucktail streamer for a minute on the lake and got a bass about like yours.

September, October, November are prime months for the salt. It's a good time of the year to break into some inshore saltwater action.
