Spent a day fishing rocky coves by the dam catching spotted bass and largemouth on topwaters.. caught this fish which I believe is cross between a spotted bass and a smallmouth but I'm not sure.

I think the top is a spot. And the bottom is a large mouth. Solely based off the jaw hinge. Maybe someone more educated will chime in

Crazy Rudi. I was catching spotted bass last weekend and them caught one that almost looked like a mix as well.

I don't know because it has those horizontal lines on the belly like a spot, but they stop halfway
