I called to inquire about the Trout Support DVDs and Tobin answered on the first ring. He asked me what type of fishing that I would be doing and then talked me out of ordering the 4 pack of DVDs and told me that I would only need 2 of them. I don't know many businesses that would deter people from buying their products just because they wouldn't be as beneficial. I can't wait to start watching the videos to prepare for my fall trip. Thank you again Tobin.

Be sure to inquire about His Soft Plastics The last time I spoke with Tobin, he told me that the Injection site in Ala. was "pouring his new colors". I can't say if he has them for sale as yet but when he does I'll be sure to get some...looking forward to that Pinkish one. I have all 4 of his DVD's and I can't say enough about them....Top Shelf Video's and info to boot.

I bought the 4 pack, and I became a better fisherman instantly. The DVD's show you so many of the small things you might not know to look for. That's what really helped me a lot. And like many will attest to, Tobin is a hell of a dude. You'll be energized to hit the water after talking to him, and you'll feel confident about whatever purchases you decide to make.

I spoke with Tobin the other day and the new soft plastics are in line with other companies to pour it's prototype.ection. Size, shape, blended colors, softness etc., all of these things have to be approved by Tobin to give the final go ahead. It's quite a process that takes a lot of time. He will keep us informed of what's being done I'm sure. In the mean time..kick back and soak up some great info with his Videos. If you do not have any of his DVDS, visit www.troutsupport.com You won't be sorry.

Thanks guys, we really appreciate the kind words. We're here to support anglers in reaching the next level what ever that is for them and might make different recommendations based on several different factors.

It was cool to hang out with one of my customers in Rockport over the weekend. Justin Stiles. Good guy and has become a great fisherman. Justin said after watching the DVDs his trout catches went barely struggling to catch a limit to catching 30-40 per trip and he's caught some real pigs with a personal best 27 as well. Cool to see anglers being bad asses with the use of the DVDs. Some it happens right off and some need a little support from me as well which I gladly help with.

Here's a note that came in about our DVDs from Grant Taylor

"Trout support confirmed what I thought was happening on the water and showed me many new tactics and tips to use while fishing. It also helped me discover new areas to fish and when to fish certain types of structure vs others. Really a great teaching tool and I recommend it to everyone who wants to catch more fish more consistently." - Grant

And here's a note that came in on FB messenger form Kyle Manak about the Big Trout DVD.

"The DVD was great, it made me totally look at it from a different point of view. Definitely look at water differently when it comes to color changes, incoming or outgoing tide, times of year, and where to find big trout and that I can apply it to almost everywhere. As well as lures, very informative". Kyle

I bought Deep Water Reds yesterday, Trout Limits today. Even though I don't fish flats or trophy fish, I'll be purchasing the next two soon. Very good info!

Thanks guys. The DVDs have been out for several years now and I receive new testimonials from guys weekly that have benefitted from them. They'll change the way you fish over time for sure. Some have immediate change as well as continued improvement.

I just put in the order for the plum with chartreuse tail and they're supposed to inject it next week.. Probably will have them ready and packaged by mid January. This next color I'm going to work on is a natural glass minnow / mullet coloration. A lot of guys have been asking for something like this - should be available in the spring for that spring baitfish baitfish bite.

Actually, one of our customers, Clayton Thomas, was using it in the Legends Series in Matagorda this weekend and he caught this potentially winning redfish 10.8 lbs 27 7/8.... but they had outboard trouble and were 20 min late to weigh in. Still a great catch.. sorta hesitant to put up an outcome like that, but he still caught it. Would have been killer to have the bait win the red side pot. He caught a 27 trout as well. They were fishing a mud flat next to deep water and the fish came up quick and it was done and over as fast as it started.

A couple of years ago I decided I wanted to take my game to the next level. I was tired of aimlessly cruising the bay casting with hope instead of knowledge. My first thought was to hire a guide, pick his brain, and then just use that info. Now while I'm sure I would have attained a modicum of success that way, it would have been pretty expensive. Besides, I have all the gear. I have enough lures to open a credible tackle store.

By this time, I had read a lot of testimonials from qualified, well known fisherman raving about the TroutSupport instructional DVDs. I decided to forego the guided trip and buy the 4 pack. I can say without question that the information on those DVDs made me an exponentially better fisherman. I still watch the DVDs before every trip. I now fish like a hunter instead of a blind optimist. Stop trying to figure out someone's super secret spot and make your own based on an intelligent assessment of the water around you.

Information is the key to success.

Like two anglers Wade fishing the same location.

The angler who obtained the information to where the reef was in that area will be the one who is catching ... the other angler will be just fishing.

I'm going to post my own personal experience about these vids...

I have pretty extensive knowledge of saltwater fishing (west coast) having grown up and fished the Southern California saltwater scene for decades. Having said that, I hadn't the faintest clue as to how to fish the Texas Inshore areas. I have lurked around various boards trying to gain info (tons of great info on this site, by the way!). I came across several of Tobin's posts. Jackpot! What a treasure trove of info this guy is.

Hell, I even called the guy to get info from him. Instead of being a "pay to play" guy, he offered me valuable insight about Trout and Redfish while NEVER ONCE asking me for a dime to buy his vids. I was so blown away by it that I bought my first DVD. I learned so much stuff from it, that I almost felt like I was ripping him off. Normally, to learn stuff like this you gotta fork over $$$ to a guide to acquire that kind of knowledge.

I went out to Corpus with fresh knowledge in my head, and absolutely slayed it (for a newb, that is). The redfish were tough to come by but I managed to catch and release several slot reds over the course of 3 days. I wouldn't have had the first clue on how to do that. I figured out the Trout bite fairly quick, but those reds I really had to work for.

Side note: The 2nd day of the trip we were blasted by howling winds and thunderstorms that popped up out of nowhere. I had a convo that literally went like this: "With this weather, I don't want to make the long run south. I'm gonna call Tobin." I rang him up, and he mentioned finding some deep water (ICW) fish that I could get to within 3 minutes of untying the boat from the dock. We spent the day fishing the ICW for high quality Trout and Reds while everyone else was on the flats.

The point isn't so much that he gave me some sort of magical insider info. It was that when I rang him up he answered and was very helpful. Here I am, a relative stranger, calling him up and prying for info, and the guy totally helped me out. Today, it seems you can't find this kind of customer service in virtually any industry. Never mind the absolute fact that the info in his DVD's literally erase hundreds or thousands of dollars in extra costs in gas over the years of gaining this info the old fashioned way of trial and error.

Side note #2: I am IN NO WAY trying to downplay the hard-working guides who teach us about fishing the Texas Coast. These guys work hard and go the extra mile to make sure their clients leave with a big ol' grin.
