Had a great couple of days fishing with J-Moe. We found a really nice creek and hammered the fish, redbreasts, green sunfish, bluegill, crappie, channel catfish, LMB and some hybrids!!
We probably caught 50 fish each on each trip, great times with a good friend!

Nice pics and post! I love creek fishing, especially out of the way spots that get little to no pressure.

Very nice. Looks like a beautiful spot. My wife just leaned over my shoulder and said that that makes her want to go Bluegill fishing.

We have definitely had some great days of fishing thumb

You just can't beat wading these creeks in the summer. It is incredible how we can walk miles of creek and never break a sweat during the middle of Texas summer. The tree cover continually shades the creeks and even keeps the water cool to the touch. No doubt this is a big factor in why the fish have remained so active.

It is so cool to explore new creeks. The fact that we have come upon so many new honey holes that nobody fishes really enhances the experience further. And to top it off they are simply hammering top water terrestrial patterns. We laughed like 8 year olds at the violent strikes those redbreasts and greenies had on the topwater flies.

Looking forward to the next adventure my friend.

To quote Chuck, "It just don't get any better"

PS. You forgot Warmouth, Redears and spotted bass

I caught my first spotted sunfish in the creek this week. banana

He too, wanted a little brown hopper to eat. I keep trying new hopper patterns in light brown and having great success.

Love those Red/Orange spotted fish. Like I say they are very aggressive and hard fighters for their size! Nice fish Jamie. thumb

I also caught this fish. At first I thought it was a warmouth, but it resembled a rock bass more than a warmouth. I sent the picture to TPWD but my picture was not clear enough to identify. It was over 9 inches, I should have registered it for a record, then I would have taken better pictures and knew for sure what species it is.

Yeah too hard to tell 100%. But my guess is WM. Jamie- No WM for me yet this year, but I'm still hard at it.

Don't remember ever seeing a Rockbass picture on here?
