There are several Helix 5 models that do not have GPS/mapping.
Humminbirds read Lakemaster and Navionics.
Humminbird Helix 12 CHIRP SI, 1198c SI, 1198c SI, ONIX 10 SI NT, Helix 7 CHIRP SI GPS G2, SOLIX 12 SI, 360, RC-1

I have both Lowrance and Humminbird units on my boat. (Humminbird connected to Ultrex for following contours). In my opinion, the mapping/charts and unit capabilities related to charts are much superior on Humminbirds. You can offset lake level drops, and you can use many more depth range colors to aid navigation and area selection.
