There are several Helix 5 models that do not have GPS/mapping. Humminbirds read Lakemaster and Navionics.
Helix 12 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G3N and G4N, 1198c SI, SOLIX 10 SI G3, Helix 8 MEGA SI+ GPS G4N, SOLIX 12 SI and G3, MEGA 360, MEGA LIVE TL, RC-1

I have both Lowrance and Humminbird units on my boat. (Humminbird connected to Ultrex for following contours). In my opinion, the mapping/charts and unit capabilities related to charts are much superior on Humminbirds. You can offset lake level drops, and you can use many more depth range colors to aid navigation and area selection.
