Took a guy from church and his two daughters out for a 1/2 day on Saturday. It was cloudy and breezy early and got hot and still as the day went on. For us the bite was better once the clouds went away. They were picking at our minnows early but started really biting when it got hot. We fished standing timber in the Buck Creek area and caught fish from 15-23ft off of isolated trees or timber right on the edge of a good drop. Caught most of our fish on minnows but I caught a couple of the bigger fish on a chart/white 1/16oz jig. We caught somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 fish between us with 10-12 nice keepers and 3 good eating size channel cats. Kids passed out on the ride back to Denton and everyone got a couple of fish tacos out of the deal so a great trip for everyone!
See you on the lake and have a great day!
