A Run is a great fisherman, thus the nickname "The Natural". He's a funny guy and I understand he is probably the most organized of all the Elite pros. I saw him fish Naconiche on MLF, and he hates fishing stumpy water! He was kind of whiney that day.

I think it's just to that point where everyone always post about the Elite Series Angler that wins the last tourney and how they are the greatest. We already know they are the greatest. That's why they are the Elites....

He's a hell of a nice guy off the water. Always willing to teach you something if you run into him or if he's giving a demo.

On or around the water he's a straight up d-bag.

Also, I can't stand to watch him on TV, he complains the whole day, I don't think he enjoys fishing at all

Versatility? It was a drop shot tournament......... that is his MO

I can think of two elite tourneys off the top of my head that he won. One was fishing docks and another was pitching reeds.

I'm not saying he is not versatile, but this tournament fit his strengths.

I used to like him a lot. He's definitely top end of the elites but my God he complains more then my wife and kids.

He needs to get on the TFF then with the elite whiners.

From 19th to 1st, would like to see more of this available but the odds are we won't unless they change the cut to include more than the Top 12.

Was he fishing a drop shot? I didn't watch any of the highlights or read anything yet, I just know he is a very versatile angler.

I didn't see any footage but a 23+ lbs bag there was done with green fish. Generally you don't catch the big ones there with a drop shot. They normally relate to docks &/or grass.

Not sure if versatility is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Aaron Martens. He's a great elite class angler, but when I think of versatile fishing styles, guy's like Rick Clunn, KVD, Roland Martin, Skeet Reese and Michael Iaconelli come too my mind.

He does have a great nickname that's for sure.

Edwin Evers is another that comes to mind. He's won several Ts up north in gin clear water, won a classic fishing totally different areas of the lake each day, he's won on rivers, natural lakes, reservoirs, everything from finesse techniques to pitchin a big jig.

He has good taste in women...his wife was very nice looking for a dude yall call a whiner

Yes he used a drop shot. I've always thought of him as a "finesse" angler.
