My Talons, less than a year old, squeal quite badly when I lower and raise them.

They seem to work fine, just make some bad squealing when going up and down....which of course sucks for as cool as these things are.

Is this normal? Is there a way to lubricate them?

(My owners manuals, if they exist, are 25 miles from where I live where I store my boat, so looking for some ideas to research before I go over to the boat.)

I deploy mine in deep water and idle a little ways. That washes them off and keeps them clean. I have only sprayed mine one time in over a year. I used WD 40.

I have breakover bracket mounts. Once a month I flush them out from top port then lay them over & run them all the way out & spray them down with WD40 Silicone speay. Always have been quiet & smooth as silk.
