No, it was late evening and fish were blowing up all around us they would grab lure for spit second and let it go. Tried several different baits and sizes and all got same results.

It wasn't gars it was big hybrids. Threw sassy shads,rattle traps , spoons, mepps. Lat: 32 49.787' Lon: 95 56.823' right in that area.

Live bait is the key to success!! No for real though, maybe they wanted it BURNED on top or perhaps letting it fall on a slack line? Just gotta hope you figure out the right technique in the small window they stay up

Yeah thanks for advice Andrew, it was strange but yes short window to try it all.Maybe a young guy can teach an old dog new tricks.. I'll keep you in mind for when it cools off ..I enjoy your videos also.
