You teach Littleman to dive in and catch crappie that flopped off the deck yet?

Well my Judee is trained up on short fish, you toss one of those little suckers back and they better hope they can out swim my puppy because she wants to measure them all, to make sure they are in fact under 10 inches. Ha!





Now with that said, I need to start training her on those 2 pounders that flop off.

On the lake by 8 and fished the bad side of the lake and it was slow, slow. I know, I know, I should have went to the other side.

Around 10am Slabrador Retriever called and asked how many you got?

Me: 1 keeper, finding 1 to 3 good fish per spot, done hit 15+spots but, I don't know how to catch them.

Slabrador Retriever:
Man stop what you are doing and go find numbers, figure out what they want. then go back to hunting those good ones.

Me: Ok, blah blah blah.

Well I looked down at my graph and it said 11:03 and with only two fish on ice, I started looking for numbers like he said, got figure something out.

Good lord, when the crappie are in the summertime funk, on the hottest day of the year, SLOW your AZZ DOWN!!!!

He was right.

Anyways, ended up catching 40+ with a limit, didn't keep count on how many Judee caught, you got to watch her close, she wants to keep them all.

My old lab ate short fish whole if they fell off in the boat! We went to Stine a couple hours yesterday after I picked up little man from camp! He said we were gonna keep up with first fish. Biggest fish and most fish! Then he caught the first fish and said contest over!! I won!!!

She is a Pudelpointer, versatile hunting dogs. She points, tracks, retrieves, hunts shed antlers and crappie fishes.

At 11 months old she is doing pretty good so far.

She is hell on the neighborhood mallards and rabbits.

I thought she was frog dog

I think I need one of those crappie dogs.....
