Lake Fork Anglers twice monthly Thursday daytime tournament for July 27 was hot and humid with light winds and (mostly lousy) fishing. Only the five largest count.
First Place Angler went to Gary Pardini of Tyler with a 2 fish bag of 9.13lb anchored by THE 7.68 lunker.
Second place went to Curt Blount of Lake Fork with 10 fish coming in at 6.74 with a 1.54 lunker.
Third place went to Jim Moreau of Lake Fork with 3 fish at 5.76 lb with a 5.28 lunker.
Fourth place went to Mark Talley of Quitman with a 4 fish bag at 4.75 with a 2.25 lunker
First place went to Butch Grove of Sulphur Springs with a 6 fish bag for 9.52 with THE 3.78 lunker
Second place went to Jackie Price of Alba 3 bass for 5.36 lb with a 3.16 lunker..
Third place went to Randy Fugate with 2 bass for 2.33 lb with a 1.77 lunker.
This whole month of July has basically kicked our butts. It is the July doldrums alright. However more slots were caught this week than in the last two.

Dues is $5 a year. Tournaments are $12 with an optional $5 lunker pot and an optional $10 big bag pot.
In 2016 the LFA fished 25 times, You have to fish at least 8 to maintain membership. And you have to fish 8 times to be eligible to fish our other two formats: Major league Fishing (known as Hard Core) and the team format known as Faze 4.
