We have a house on Rayburn the last weekend of Sept and none of us have been on Rayburn before. As far as I can tell that branch looks to have enough cover to spend the whole weekend in alone, but are there any other areas that would be a 'must see' to fully experience Rayburn? Also, what can I expect as far as hazards to running in that area? I have Garmin and can only find boat lanes for Birds/Lowrance.

The lake level right now you are good to the mouth of buck. If it continues to drop there are some stragglers out off the mouth of buck and lots of timber in the cove. Tons of good areas, hard to say what's a must see

That branch is stump heaven once you get a little past the twin coves on the right going in. The main creek channel is also lined with trees all the way out to the main lake, you can see those. You can spend a whole weekend in there but you can also get skunked in there if it's off. Other areas include caney creek, five fingers, veach, black forest, Amber forest, canyons, deer stand. To many to cover in one trip. Just pick an area and try to pick it apart. The easiest places to run are on the south end up to caney

Thank you for the input, I haven't put down the deposit yet on the house, is there a less stump riddled area you could recommend? After going into Fork blind, I'm not really looking to have to idle my entire vacation again lol

Buck to the dam and the dam up to caney is virtually clear of trees at this level
