Ok, so I snapped 3" off of a fairly new rod. It was a 7' Med/Fast.
I've replaced the tip guide and now have what "feels" like a 6'9" Med/Heavy......I haven't cast it yet, but other than the "light" feel and extra distance on casting, what changes would you expect?

That you lost some sensitivity and that it fishes like a Med/Heavy as well.
