I know a lot of catmen have bought better, more comfortable boats, but as time goes on, week in and week out, I still see more jon boats catching cats and feeding families more than any other boat on the river.
The humble jon boat: workhorse of the catfish fleet.

That's what is so great about catfishing. You don't need a glitter boat. The best catfish boat is one you never have to wash. Pull up on the bank, and open the drain plug and throw a bucket of water into it is about all it needs just to keep the flies away.
Just one more cast!

Wish I'd have kept count of all the flatbottom' I've owned! Certainly a versitle design! Somehow, I keep going back to them every few years! Flounder boats, bowfishing boats, catfish boats.... The flatbottom is the unspoken hero and workhorse! I like um unless it's mid Winter and the lakes are angry!
Those who dance are considered mad by those who cannot hear the music.

My boat goes in garage and my New truck stays out. No insurance, No maintenance, and a gallon of gas goes all day.
