If you get a hit and get in a hurry to take a rod out of the holder, it's going to be pretty easy to tear up the rod grips

Looks good! I'm a little concerned you won't be able to get a rod out when you have a fish on though.

I put some spacers in. Just built it cause I was bored. The rods slid out fairly easy. But I won't know until I get a 25+ Blue on it.

They slide out easy when i tested it. but there was no fish on it. I reel to set the hook before I take the rod out of my holders anyway. I think It should work good. I made it for my mother. I spent less than $2.00 on it. I had all the other spare parts. One mans junk is another man treasure.

Well it better work. A guy just bought it and ordered another one. Pretty cool for something I just thought about and built in 30 minutes.

Just curious but what holds the front up and keeps a big fish from pulling it down to the ground?
"Life is a matter of luck and the odds of success are in no way enhanced by extreme caution." - Erich Topp, German U-boat Commander, 1943.
When in doubt, set the hook.

Currently nothing. Those are 36" rods. i plan on pressing them way deep in the soil. But in normal cases. I would have it standing straight up. Trying a little of everything.
